Limenaria

Limenaria, the second largest town of Thassos and one of the most developed villages on the island, attracts hundreds of tourists every year. The well-known “Palataki”, the cave just below it, the beach of Metalleia with its long history, the beach of Tripiti and the Folklore Museum of the village are some of the sites you should definitely visit.

At Limenaria, the tourists have a wide range of options, both during day and night! While out for a walk by the beach of Limenaria you can admire works of sculptor Kostas Lovoulos and taste the traditional loukoumades (donuts) at the confectionaries of the village. Great restaurants and traditional taverns do justice to Greek cuisine, while cafes are always packed.

In the market of Limenaria one can find almost everything, with souvenir shops dominating both the cobblestone alleys and along the beach. If you wish to enjoy your drink with famous actors as company, all you have to do is watch a film at the open air cinema by the sea. Of course, the seas are remarkable and spotless awaiting you for a relaxing bath or water sports full of action!!
